Privacy Policy
Contavo helps restaurants track ingredient inventory and lets their suppliers respond when stock runs low. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it. We have written it in plain language rather than legalese.
This website
The page you are reading is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising or analytics trackers, and builds no profile of you. The interactive demo on the home page runs entirely inside your browser — the numbers you tap never leave your device and nothing is saved when you close the tab.
Like almost every site on the internet, our host (Cloudflare) records standard server request logs, including IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. Those logs exist for security and reliability, and we do not use them for marketing.
The Contavo app
If you use the Contavo app as a restaurant or a supplier, we process the information needed to make the product work:
- Account details — name, business name, email address, and phone number if you give us one.
- Operational data — your ingredients, recipes, counts, par levels, sales entries, and the offers exchanged between restaurants and suppliers.
- Technical data — device and log information generated when the app is used, for debugging and security.
What suppliers can and cannot see
Contavo works by sharing low-stock signals with suppliers, so this boundary matters. A supplier you are connected to can see which of your ingredients have fallen below par, in the categories they supply, along with the quantity remaining and an estimate of how long it will last. Suppliers cannot see your sales figures, revenue, recipes, ingredient costs, or any inventory that is not running low.
What we never do
- We do not sell your data, and we never will.
- We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use your recipes or sales data to advantage one supplier over another.
Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help us run Contavo — hosting, database, and error-monitoring vendors — and only what they need to perform that work. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and operational data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or accounting reasons.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it. Email zeek@crogl.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in a jurisdiction with additional data rights, such as the EU or California, those rights apply to you and we will honor them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected users promptly if we ever discover a breach involving their data.
Children
Contavo is a tool for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.

Contavo is in early pilot with a small number of Atlanta restaurants and suppliers. If a future feature changes what we collect, this page changes first.
